Resize tools by intent
This hub covers all modes. Those pages should later add extra depth & UI specific to each intent (to avoid cannibalism).
Resize images the way people actually search
Pixels, percentage, fit-within (no stretch), or longest-side — choose the intent that matches your task.
Resize image in pixels
Set exact dimensions like 1200×630, 1920×1080, or 1080×1080. Turn on “Maintain aspect ratio” to prevent stretching.
- Blog / OG image: 1200×630
- YouTube thumbnail: 1280×720
- Instagram post: 1080×1080
Resize image by percentage
Scale quickly (e.g., 50% smaller) without calculating dimensions. Ideal for downscaling camera photos.
- 25%: big reduction
- 50%: balanced
- 75%: light reduction
Resize to fit within a box (no stretch)
Fit inside a maximum size like 1200×1200 while keeping the original aspect ratio. Great for uploads with strict limits.
- Product galleries
- CMS upload limits
- Email-friendly sizing
Resize by longest side
Set one number like 1200px and we scale proportionally. Perfect when you only care about “max size”.
- Fast “web size” exports
- Portfolio images
- Quick batch reductions

Why Creatoryn’s resizer is built for real workflows
Multiple intents, one hub
You don’t need 10 different tools for pixels/percent/fit-within/longest-side — it’s all here.
Batch-friendly + safe
Fit-within and longest-side keep each image’s aspect ratio automatically. “Don’t upscale” avoids quality loss.
Clean exports
Choose PNG, JPG, or WebP. Control JPG/WebP quality. Fill transparency when exporting JPG.

FAQ
Which resize mode should I use?▼
Use Pixels for exact dimensions, Percentage for quick scaling, Fit-within to keep aspect ratio inside a max box (no stretching), and Longest side when you only care about the maximum edge.
Why does my image look stretched?▼
That happens when you force a width and height that don’t match the original aspect ratio. Enable “Maintain aspect ratio” or switch to Fit-within.
Does resizing reduce quality?▼
Downscaling usually looks fine. Upscaling can look soft because the image is being enlarged. Keep “Don’t upscale” enabled if you want safe batch resizing.
Why does my transparent PNG look weird as JPG?▼
JPG doesn’t support transparency. Enable “Fill transparency for JPG” and pick a background color (white is the usual choice).
Can I resize multiple images at once?▼
Yes — upload multiple images and apply one rule. If your template supports ZIP download, it will export them together.
Ready to resize?
Pick a mode, use a preset, export JPG/PNG/WebP — and download.
